Real Intelligence Tour – I created a distinct visual identity for this exclusive leadership forum, developing a premium dark-themed design language and integrating the RIO mascot across print and digital collaterals. The result was a cohesive event experience that strengthened the brand presence and supported quality lead generation.
The Impact
What began as an unconventional approach to customer engagement soon evolved into a high-impact initiative. Instead of hosting traditional full-day events, we introduced an exclusive, closed-door experience that fostered meaningful conversations with industry leaders and decision-makers, resulting in higher-quality leads and stronger business relationships.
To give the initiative a distinct identity, I developed a cohesive visual theme centered around our brand mascot, RIO. The mascot became a recognizable element across event collaterals, creating a consistent and memorable brand experience. For every city and country, RIO was thoughtfully adapted to reflect local culture and traditions, making the experience feel more personal and relatable.
This localized approach not only strengthened brand awareness but also built a deeper emotional connection with attendees. The result was significantly improved engagement, stronger event recall, and a nearly 25% reduction in last-minute dropouts, demonstrating the impact of combining strategic branding with thoughtful design.
Addtionaly What began with actively inviting attendees gradually evolved into them reaching out to ask when the next event would take place and whether they could be a part of it. The distinctive visual identity, reinforced through consistent social media promotion, played a key role in making the initiative more recognisable, strengthening brand recall, and building anticipation around every edition.
From Screens to Reality
As marketing shifted almost entirely to digital, I wanted to create a tangible experience that could leave a stronger, more memorable impression. This led to the creation of a custom Bizom Newspaper that showcased major customer success stories, product innovations, and event highlights—serving as a unique conversation starter and lead-nurturing asset.
The Impact
The response exceeded our expectations. We strategically placed QR codes throughout the newspaper, directing readers to our sales team and relevant resources. More than 95% of recipients scanned the QR codes, resulting in highly qualified leads (SQLs) and significantly increasing post-event engagement.
What started as an experimental marketing asset quickly became one of our most effective lead-nurturing tools. Several industry leaders who received the newspaper at our events were so impressed that they requested personal copies every month. This positive reception eventually transformed the initiative into a recurring, low-cost revenue-generating opportunity. Following its success in India, the concept was expanded to our international events, where it continues to receive an equally enthusiastic response from both prospects and existing customers.
To keep every edition valuable and engaging, the newspaper featured curated seasonal FMCG industry insights, bite-sized customer case studies that created curiosity and encouraged follow-up conversations, along with light-hearted comic strips featuring our mascot, RIO. This balance of educational content and storytelling made the newspaper both informative and memorable.
Creating Connected Digital Journeys
Designed as a concise, high-impact sales touchpoint for both prospects and existing customers, the newspaper presented key information in an easy-to-consume capsule format. Shared by the sales team during initial conversations, it consistently generated stronger engagement and more meaningful discussions compared to traditional slide decks and PDFs.
The Impact
The onepagers significantly improved the quality of our initial conversations with both prospects and existing clients. By presenting key information in a concise and engaging format, it helped build interest and trust much earlier in the sales journey. As a result, discussions that would typically take multiple meetings happened much faster, reducing the sales cycle and contributing—both directly and indirectly—to quicker deal closures.
Design Initiative
What began as an internal initiative to expand the mascot ecosystem evolved into a cast of supporting characters, each with their own distinct personality and role. Today, these characters feature prominently in our comic strips and are widely used across external marketing communications, particularly in campaigns and content tailored for enterprise clients.
The Impact
We began by experimenting with comic strips as an internal communication initiative, using them to make messages more engaging and relatable. Following the overwhelmingly positive response, we gradually expanded the concept across both internal and external communication channels—including the website, social media, sales one-pagers, and print collateral such as the Bizom Times newspaper.
What started as a creative experiment soon evolved into a key element of Bizom's brand identity. The consistent use of storytelling through comics significantly improved brand recognition and recall, helping the brand stand out in the competitive B2B SaaS space. It also became a valuable sales enablement tool, making one-to-one conversations more engaging by simplifying complex product concepts into relatable stories. Regardless of age or technical background, audiences connected with the narrative-driven approach, proving that good storytelling resonates universally.
Design Initiative
As part of the website revamp, we set out to improve key engagement metrics such as click-through rates, session duration, and overall user interaction. While website pop-ups are a common marketing tool, we wanted to rethink the experience by making them feel less intrusive and more engaging. By incorporating our mascot, RIO, into the pop-up designs, we transformed a conventional element into an interactive brand touchpoint that encouraged users to engage rather than dismiss it.
